I’m a Chartered Financial Planner and Independent Adviser based in the Midlands. I’ve been helping people make confident money decisions since 1994 – first with companies like United Friendly, NPI and Royal Sun Alliance, and since 2003 through my own independent practice.
If you’re looking for financial planning in the Midlands and prefer straight-talking advice over jargon, you’re in the right place and I’d love you to read the case study below.
I mainly support:
My clients often tell me they like that I’m local, accessible and genuinely interested in what they want from life – not just their money. When people search for financial advisors locally, they’re usually looking for someone they can trust and build a long-term relationship with. That’s exactly how I work.
How I work
I start with a conversation, NOT a product. We’ll talk about:
From there, I build a clear financial plan that pulls everything together – pensions, savings, investments, mortgage, protection, business interests and estate planning. We’ll review it regularly so it keeps pace with life’s changes: career moves, business growth, children, divorce, illness, retirement and everything in between.
No templates, no “one size fits all” – just thoughtful, personalised planning.
What we can cover
Depending on your needs, I can help with:

Let’s start turning your ideas about the future into a clear, practical plan.
Case study: From “Working to 67” to “We could retire now”
I recently met a couple who were doing everything “right” – living within their means, keeping up with the mortgage and bills – but with no spare money for the things they enjoyed, like holidays and Christmas. At 55 and 57, they both assumed they’d be working until at least 67, and she felt under pressure for her new business to bring in a certain level of income just to stay on track.
I carried out a full review of their finances – income, spending, savings, investments, pensions and mortgage – and used cashflow planning to test different scenarios.
The outcome?
Knowing they don’t have to work to 67 has completely changed how they feel about the future. They now have choice, flexibility and peace of mind.
This for me, is what good financial planning is all about.
